AMPED will serve as the headquarters for the AWPA providing administrative, finance, membership, communications and meeting services, as well as board governance, government relations and strategic oversight.

AMPED’s Emily Bardach, CAE, who served as AWPA’s Director of Meetings and Membership from 1998 – 2011, will serve as AWPA Executive Director. “I am thrilled to once again be working with the AWPA after so many years,” says Bardach. “I am excited to reengage in a new role as the Executive Director. There are still so many familiar faces!”

Bardach has spent 25 years working with various professional societies and trade associations within the AMC model including Women in Government Relations which she has managed for over 20 years.
“AMPED is dedicated to helping clients find creative solutions for growth,” says Bardach. “Our focus for AWPA will be efficient internal systems, increased member engagement, and creation of strategic goals for short and long-term planning.”

AWPA President Brian E. Burr says the organization is excited to be looking ahead and working with AMPED. “Their systems and breadth of experienced staff with trade industry knowledge, as well as presence in the DC area will allow the AWPA to provide value more effectively to our membership”

The AWPA is the leading voice of the ferrous wire and wire products industry in North America. AWPA members include wire producers located in the United States, Canada and Mexico, manufacturers and distributors of wire rod, and suppliers of machinery, dies, and equipment to the wire industry.

AMPED assumed full-service association management on September 1, 2021.
