October 4, 2024

AMPED Association Management, an accredited full-service association management company, is proud to announce its new partnership with METAvivor, an organization dedicated to supporting women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (MBC). AMPED will take on the full operational management of METAvivor, helping the organization advance its mission with enhanced strategic and administrative support.

As part of this transition, Sonya Negley, executive director of METAvivor will be stepping down. METAvivor and its Board of Directors are grateful for Ms. Negley’s leadership during this transition and appreciate the strides the organization has made in advocacy, education, and support for the MBC community during her tenure. Ms. Negley’s passion and commitment to METAvivor have left a legacy, and AMPED will enable METAvivor to build on the strong foundation she helped create.

From its offices in Wisconsin and Metro Washington, DC, AMPED will deliver a comprehensive suite of management services to METAvivor, including governance support, membership growth, meeting coordination, program development, financial management, marketing, communications, fundraising, and grant procurement. This partnership will allow METAvivor to focus more deeply on expanding its impact on life-changing research and reach in the MBC community.

“METAvivor is excited about our new partnership with AMPED,” said Jamil Rivers, METAvivor president. “We know that our increased strategic and administrative capacity will take us to new heights."

“We are excited to partner with METAvivor to help drive their mission forward,” said Lynda J. Patterson, FASAE, CAE, president and owner of AMPED. “Our goal is to provide the strategic and administrative expertise that will allow METAvivor to grow, innovate, and continue providing critical support to those living with metastatic breast cancer.”

With this new collaboration, AMPED will work closely with the METAvivor Board of Directors and volunteers to maximize the organization’s potential, ensuring long-term sustainability and continued success in serving its community.

METAvivor exists to sustain hope for those living with stage 4 MBC. The volunteer-led non-profit funds vital research to help improve the longevity and quality of life for MBC patients, raises public attention to the urgent needs of the MBC community, and helps patients find strength through support and purpose.
